Canon’s print technology boasts an impressive 1472 total nozzles, with 320 dedicated to black printing and 384 each for C/M/Y. This advanced system allows for a minimum ink droplet size of about 2 picolitres for cyan, magenta, and yellow printing. However, black printing requires a minimum ink droplet of 30 picolitres. Despite this discrepancy, the monochrome printing rate is still impressive, clocking in at approximately 22 pages per minute (ppm) on A4 plain paper.

According to the specifications, color printing can reach up to 17 pages per minute, whereas photo printing on photo paper only takes 55 seconds. The bordered page setting allows for a maximum print width of 203.2 mm, which is equivalent to 8 inches. On the other hand, borderless printing can handle up to 216 mm, almost 8.5 inches. The top margin measures 38.3 mm, while the bottom margin measures 31.2 mm. This printer is compatible with various media types, such as plain paper, super white paper, high-resolution paper, and photo paper pro.
