The borderless printing function is compatible with a range of paper sizes including A4, B5, LTR, 4×6, 5×7, 7×10, 8×10, 89mm x 89mm, 127mm x 127mm, and 91mm x 55mm. When it comes to cartridges and their yields, users can expect standard ink cartridges such as GI-41 (PGBK), GI-41 (C), GI-41 (M), and GI-41 (Y) to be available. With regards to cartridge yield for A4 color document printing, black documents can produce up to 6,000 pages with economy mode at 7,600 pages. Meanwhile, color documents can yield 7,700 pages with an economy mode at 8,100 pages. For color photo printing, users can expect a yield of 2,200 photos.

The printer is compatible with a range of paper types, including plain paper, red label superior at 80g/m2 (WOP111), and Canon Oce Office Color paper at 80g/m2 (SAT213). It also supports specialized photo paper such as photo paper plus glossy II (PP-201), photo paper pro luster (LU-101), matte photo paper (MP-101), and high-resolution paper (HR-101N).
