The GI-50 ink cartridge is the standard ink cartridge supported by this printer. If you’re looking for more ink, you can opt for the CL-541 and CL-541XL XL ink cartridges. It’s worth noting that the black cartridges can print up to 6,000 pages of A4 monochrome documents, while the CL-541XL color cartridges can only print up to 400 pages.
When it comes to paper, this printer supports a few different types. You can use plain paper, High-resolution paper (HR-101N), and Envelopes. The Rear Tray can hold up to 100 sheets of plain paper, while the Cassette can hold up to 250 sheets of plain paper.
Overall, this printer is a great option if you need to print a lot of black and white documents, but don’t need to print color documents as often. Plus, the large paper capacity means you won’t have to refill the paper tray as often.
The Rear Tray of the printer supports an array of paper sizes including A4, A5, LTR, LGL, and Envelopes with DL and COM10 sizes and even the 91x55mm card size. On the other hand, the Cassette is compatible with A4, A5, B5, and LTR, and the ADF with A4, LTR, and LGL. Both the Rear Tray and Cassette can accommodate plain paper weighing between 64 to 105g/m².
The printer is also compatible with various types of scanners such as Flatbed, ADF, and CIS color, making it versatile for different scanning needs. The scan speed for color is 3.5 ms/line (300dpi), while for greyscale it is 1.5 ms/line (300dpi).
Furthermore, Canon PIXMA GM4050’s scanner resolution is 1200×2400 dpi and supports A4 and LTR (216×297 mm) document size. At the same time, it supports A4, LTR, and LGL document sizes for ADF. Regarding the copier specifications, the copy speed for sFCOT/simplex (black) is 12 seconds, 10.7 ipm for sESAT/Simplex (black), and 11.5 ipm for ESAT/Simplex ADF (Black). In addition, its copy functions include document copying, photocopying, 2-sided copy, 2-on-1 and 4—on-1 copy, frame erase copy, and ID copy.
