specifications

According to ISO standards, monochrome printing speed can reach up to 7.5 pages per minute (ppm), while draft mode can hit 20 ppm. For color printing, the ISO mode can achieve around 5.5 ppm and draft mode can reach 16 ppm. Once the print command is given, the printer can churn out the first page in as little as 15 seconds for black and 18 seconds for color.

The HP DeskJet 2133 printer, equipped with HP Thermal Inkjet print technology and the HP PCL3 GUI printer driver, can deliver a maximum of 1000 printed pages per month. Despite this, the manufacturer suggests a monthly duty cycle of 50 to 100 pages to ensure optimal performance. When printing in color, the printer boasts a resolution of up to 4800 x 1200 optimized dpi at its best print mode.

To utilize this function, it is necessary to print via computer on specific HP photo papers and set the input to 1200 dpi. However, for black printing, the resolution drops to 1200 x 1200 rendered dpi. The printer requires two print cartridges, one for black and another for tri-color (cyan, magenta, and yellow). Unfortunately, the printer lacks an automatic paper sensor capability.

The standard hi-speed USB port serves as the primary connectivity route for this printer, with no wireless connection option available. As a result, mobile printing is not possible, and features like HP ePrint and Apple AirPrint cannot be utilized. Despite this limitation, the printer boasts an inbuilt integrated processing system and memory for saving documents. In terms of paper capacity, the input tray can hold up to 60 sheets of plain paper, while the output tray has a capacity of approximately 25 layers.
