The print resolution for best black print mode is 600 x 600 dpi at a rate of 4.7 ppm and a 1200 x 1200 dpi or 4800 x 1200 dpi at a speed of 3.1 ppm for color. The normal mode for black print is 6.5 ppm at a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi and 600 x 300 dpi for color prints at a speed of 5.0 ppm.

The scanning resolution is 600 x 1200 dpi optical mode, although this depends on the computer specifications. This scan mode is at a 24-bit color depth using 32-bit hardware and 8-bit grayscale. It also has the particular HP Photo view Centre Software, the ReadIris Pro OCR software, all for maximum high-quality output.
